UPDATE - AVG toolbar unable to connect with AVG application

After a recent AVG 2012 update, you may encounter the following warning when opening your web browser:

"AVG toolbar was unable to connect with AVG application. Please check that the program is installed and running. If you continue to experience this error, please contact AVG Technical Support."

An AVG Program Update has now been released to correct this error.

To obtain the update follow the steps below:

1. Open AVG

2. Click Update now on the left hand side

3. AVG will download and install the update.

The AVG version should now be 2012.1873 (you can find this by clicking on the Support button in the top right hand corner of the AVG window).
