AVG Remote Administration Console (AVG Admin)
AVG Admin provides central administration capabilities for AVG's range of network and server security products, enabling administrators to remotely install, update, and configure AVG solutions across the network from a single access point. AVG Admin also enables systems administrators to log and manage security incidents, with remote control of the Virus Vault.
AVG Admin can be used with the following products:
- AVG Anti-Virus Business Edition
- AVG Internet Security Business Edition
- AVG File Server Edition
- AVG Email Server Edition
AVG Admin is an invaluable companion to both network and server products, ensuring that busy network managers can remotely manage all aspects of AVG protection without taking time away from other tasks.
- Remote installation and repair AVG clients can be installed remotely on all workstations in a local network. The remote installation tool can be used to create an installation script that enables the Setup process to be run on all connected workstations.
- Remote administration Management tools provide a continuous overview of the status of all AVG clients and allow administrators to centrally control and modify AVG client settings.
- Centralised or distributed updating AVG client updates can be performed centrally on all workstations and scheduled according to any individual organisation's specific requirements. Full support for automatic updates for mobile and remote workers, even when disconnected from the network.
- Remote launch of tests/updates Access workstations remotely to run control tests or to update AVG client protection.
- Test results reports Get a comprehensive overview of detection and test results. Administrators can examine and analyse reported data to create a virus audit trail and take appropriate preventative action.
- Monitoring Maintain records of system parameters, current AVG program information, and test results for all workstations in the AVG DataCenter. AVG Admin uses this data to create structured reports.
- Graphical reports Generate easy-to-read graphical reports quickly and easily to show summary data, most-infected workstations, primary infections, and other statistics.
