Upgrading to AVG 2012 for SMB

Follow the steps below to upgrade to our latest version, AVG 2012

Download the AVG 2012 setup file

  1. Visit www.avg.com.au/download

  2. Under Business and Enterprise Security, click on Paid Version next to AVG Internet Security Business Edition 2012

 


3. To upgrade your Workstations - Click on the link to download the AVG for Workstations file for your operating system version - 32 or 64 bit

To upgrade your Servers - Click on the link to download the AVG for Server file for your operating system version - 32 or 64 bit

IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR SERVERS: If you're installing AVG on a File server click here for more information
If you're installing AVG on a Exchange server click here for more information

4. Once the download is complete, double click the file to launch the installation
5. If you see a Windows security warning, click Run

 

Installation Process - Licence Agreement

6. When presented with the AVG Licence Agreement, if you agree, click Accept

 

Activate your Licence

7. As you are upgrading from a previous AVG version, your licence number should already be entered here. If it's not, you can find it in the Licence Details email we sent you when you purchased AVG. You can also use our Licence Retrieval Tool
8. When you've entered your licence number, click Next

 

Select type of installation

9. Select the type of installation, we recommend Quick Install
10. Click Next

 

Install Progress

The installation will now proceed. The previous version of AVG will be automatically removed and AVG 2012 will be installed.

 

Installation Successful

11. Once the installation is complete, you will be prompted to restart your computer. We recommend that you do restart so AVG is completely active and you are protected.

 

Congratulations, you have successfully upgraded to AVG 2012

Restart your computer (if prompted). AVG 2012 will be active and you are now protected. Congratulations!
