Once you have downloaded the file, double click on the file to run it. Then proceed to Step 9.

For Windows XP/2000

  1. Insert the CD into your CD/DVD Drive
  2. Active Content. You must click Yes to allow active content
  3. An Internet browser window will appear, proceed to step 5.

For Windows Vista

  1. Insert the CD into your CD/DVD Drive
  2. Autoplay. You must click Run index.html to proceed.
  3. Active Content. You must click Yes to allow active content.
  4. An Internet browser window will appear, proceed to step 5.
 
Note: If you do not see an Internet browser window, follow the steps below:
  • Go to Start > Computer (or My Computer)
  • Right click your CD/DVD drive
  • Select Explore
  • Double click the folder ‘Win’
  • Double click the folder ‘Full’
  • Double click the file called ‘avg_idp_stf_en_85...exe’
  • Proceed to Step 9
  1. Place the dot next to Install full version
  2. Click Continue
  3. From the drop down, select you AVG Identity Protection
  4. Click Install

Running the AVG ID Protection setup file

  1. You will now be prompted to run the file, click Run.
    The AVG Setup file will extract.

The Installation Process

  1. Welcome.
    Click Next to continue.
  2. Licence Agreement.
    Select I accept the terms in the licence agreement to continue. 
  3. Customer Information
    Enter your email address (this is optional). Click Next
  4. Destination Folder
    If you'd like to change the folder where AVG Identity Protection is stored, click Change and select the appropriate folder.
    Click Next to continue.
  5. Click Install
  6. When the installation is complete, click Finish.
  7. Product Configuration: Try or Buy
    Click Enter Licence
    Type in your AVG ID Protection Licence Number and press OK
  8. Click Finish
